Virtual Reality Casinos: What Exists and What to Check First

Virtual reality casinos are often described as the future of gambling: put on a headset, walk across a 3D casino floor and sit down at a table with other avatars. This article separates the idea from what a player can actually use today, looks at what Wettson offers (checked on 2 October 2026), and explains why immersion is as much a risk as a feature.

What a "VR casino" usually means

The term covers several quite different things:

  • Headset apps – standalone applications for VR headsets that render a 3D casino room. Many titles of this kind have been social or play-money products rather than real-money gambling, because real-money play needs a licence for every market an app is offered in, and headset app stores apply their own rules to gambling content.
  • 3D or "metaverse" lobbies – a browser or desktop world where avatars walk between game screens. Under the 3D wrapper, the games are usually the same slots and tables found anywhere else.
  • Live dealer streams – not VR at all, but the closest thing to real presence most players will meet: a human dealer, a physical wheel or card shoe, and a video stream.

In all three cases the maths stays the same. A slot's RTP and volatility come from its game rules, not from the room it is shown in – the same point made in the article on myth-themed slots and how to read their RTP and volatility. A European roulette wheel in a 3D room still has 37 pockets and the same 2.70% house edge explained in the article on lucky numbers and roulette probability.

What Wettson offers (checked 2 October 2026)

On the pages checked, Wettson does not publish any VR product. It is a browser site: no native app, APK or app-store link was found, and the operator does not mention a native app. The home page lists lobby sections such as Jackpots, Tournaments, Bonus Buy, Crash Games, Live Casino, Sports and Prediction Markets (source: wettson7.com). The About page claims "13.000+ games from the BEST providers" (wettson7.com/info/about_us), but no VR game is named anywhere on the pages checked.

Earlier versions of this article suggested that Wettson was developing or "pioneering" VR. Nothing the operator publishes supports that, and the claim has been removed.

If what you are after is the feeling of sitting at a real table, the Live Casino section is the nearest format the operator offers. Two practical points from the bonus terms (wettson7.com/info/bonus_terms_and_conditions): live casino games contribute 0% to the wagering of standard bonuses (slots 100%, virtual games 50%, "lucky" games 50%, table games 20%), and the live-casino promotions on the promotions page, such as the Thursday cashback and the Saturday reload, have their own conditions that are worth reading in full before opting in.

Why immersion is also a risk

The selling point of VR is presence: the sense of being somewhere else. That is exactly what makes time harder to track. Inside a headset there is no clock on the wall, no phone screen in view and none of the small interruptions that normally end a session. Several features that VR marketing praises push in the same direction:

FeatureWhat it does to a sessionCounter-measure
360-degree room, no visible clockTime passes unnoticedSet an external timer before you start
Spatial audio and celebration effectsSmall wins feel bigger than they areMute effects; watch the balance in currency
Gesture-based betting (throwing dice, pulling a lever)Feels like skill or controlThe outcome is set by the RNG or the physical game, not by your hand
Avatars and shared roomsSocial pressure to keep playingDecide your stop point before joining a table

Two well-documented effects matter here. The illusion of control – the tendency to believe that your own actions influence a chance outcome – is likely to feel stronger when you physically throw virtual dice than when you press a button. And celebration sounds on outcomes that are really net losses, the pattern known as "losses disguised as wins", become more vivid with spatial audio; the article on casino sound design explains that pattern in detail. The visual side is covered in the article on colour and interface design.

Comfort is a separate issue: many people get eye strain or motion sickness in a headset. That is a reason to keep sessions short, not a reason to push through.

Responsible-gaming tools Wettson publishes

Whether you play in a headset elsewhere or in a browser at Wettson, the same rule applies: limits have to be set before a session, because they are hardest to set during one. According to the operator's responsible-gaming page and terms (wettson7.com/info/responsible_gaming, wettson7.com/info/terms_and_conditions), checked on 2 October 2026:

  • Deposit limits – daily, weekly or monthly, set by contacting support. A decrease applies immediately; an increase takes effect after 24 hours (T&C 4.2).
  • Time-out – available from the account profile; it can only be revoked after 24 hours (T&C 5.1).
  • Self-exclusion – requested by email only, with a 24-hour cooling-off period; the available periods are given by support (T&C 5.2). The terms add that the account is reopened if you do not reply within a further 24 hours, so answer that email.
  • Help organisations – the terms name GamCare (0808 8020 133) and Gambling Therapy (T&C 5.3).

What the operator does not publish on the pages checked: loss limits, wager limits, session-time limits, reality checks (pop-up reminders of how long you have been playing) and the actual durations of time-out and self-exclusion. With no published session limit, a phone alarm or an external timer is the only reliable session clock. Note also that, according to T&C 8.4, self-exclusion at Wettson does not extend to other brands operated under the same licence.

Checklist before trying any VR casino

  1. Who runs it, and under which licence? Find the operating company and licence number in the footer, then check them on the regulator's own register. For Wettson that is Green Champions Leader SRL, Anjouan licence ALSI-202502014-FI1, which can be checked on the official verification page (anjouangaming.com/public-register/verify-a-licence); details are on the licensing page.
  2. Real money or play money? Many headset apps are social casinos. Check before buying anything in-app.
  3. Is your country allowed? Read the restricted-countries clause in the terms; an account opened from an excluded country can be closed.
  4. Which limits exist? Deposit, loss and session limits, reality checks, self-exclusion.
  5. How do withdrawals work? Verification, caps and fees – the same questions as for any online casino; see the terms overview and the tips page.

Gambling is for adults (18+) and is entertainment that costs money, not a way to earn it. If a format makes you lose track of time or money, that is a reason to step away, whatever the technology.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wettson have a VR casino or an app?

No VR product, native app or APK was found on the operator’s pages checked on 2 October 2026. Wettson is a browser site; its Live Casino section is the closest format to sitting at a real table.

Are VR casino games fairer or more generous than normal online games?

No. A 3D room changes how a game looks and feels, not its mathematics. RTP, house edge and volatility come from the game rules and from the random number generator or the physical equipment.

Can I set a session time limit at Wettson?

The operator does not publish session limits or reality checks. It offers deposit limits via support, a time-out from the account profile and self-exclusion by email, so an external timer is the practical way to limit session length.
